I was wondering if you guys would be interested in running a trial vampire game early this week? Since the mage book isn't out yet, it's a bit hard for Juliana to plan, and maybe Jess and I could run some games early on here and then give Juliana more time whenever she's ready. Does that make sense? Anyway, I have a first session planned and I can vary how long it will last depending on how long we all have. But I thought maybe we could try the game and see if you guys will want to continue with it (Jess especially). I'll prolly be talking to ya'll before you read this, but yeah...

I just got back from the local game store and they say they'll have the Mage book Tuesday. Hopefully the shop in Bryn Mawr will have it Monday, which is, according to White Wolf, supposed to be the release date. I'm not too optimistic though. I called them and they said, "They missed their 17th release date and haven't announced a new one." The only good thing is that it's quite possible they could get something from their distributer without knowing it's release date and since they don't know when it's coming in it could be in Monday.

I better go pack now. I'm leaving horribly early tomorrow morning and I'm going to a movie with my friends tonight.

I also have a question for you all. I'm interested in running Werewolf, but I also kind of want to run a game with normal, everyday humans. The former would be more combat-oriented, since Werewolf is that kind of game. Probably the climax would be destroying something quite powerful. With humans, it would be more investigation. Also, much more frightening, since humans are more frail. And it's just easier to do horror when you're not a supernatural being yourself. Of course, if we did Werewolf, I might accidently go overbord on the horror to compensate. Probably, with humans, the climax will be solving some extensive mystery and, I don't know, disabling whatever is involved.

I'd like to get some feedback on what people are interested in before I buy the Werewolf book. Since I'm cheap.

Also, I really kind of want to do my thing this semester, but I can always wait til spring, since Juliana has priority.

Figured I'd give you a bit of an update on my plans for the Mage game... I'm planning on setting it in San Francisco. Right now I'm considering story ideas and ideas for NPCs but I want to see your characters before I get too far with those and I kinda need the book anyway.

Oh, I was wondering: Do you want to start play as mortals and then Awaken? Play newly Awakened but inexperienced Mages? Play somewhat experienced Mages?

Any of the options would work for me. The first two would have the advantage of not making your character more experienced than you (if you know what I mean) but the third would be interesting and it might be fun to be a bit more powerful (I'd give you a bit of xp when you make the character).

Yay! Sounds like most of us are coming back the 26th or 27th (I'm still not completely sure which- family are doing things, so depends when they can take me). I can't wait to see y'all, hehe. I miss you so! *dies of loneliness*
It also sounds like we're going to have a lot of games to think about doing. Are we gonna have them all start this coming semester? I vaguely remember people talking about having one for next semester when Juliana (sigh) will not be with us. I don't mind doing a bunch, but there's probably going to be some scheduling problems with running three rpgs at once. We'll have to see, I suppose. Blargh! Once again with the non-sleepage! (got back from NYC at 1 am last night. How much traffic can there effing BE on a sunday at midnight??? *Hates New Jersey Turnpike*)

hey gals and godesses, i am leaving planning of everything to your pretty little minds. i am cool with whatever games you want to play and however we are gonna set it up. i figure, since i just left it all up to you guys before, i could do it again. cuz i'm lazy.

has anyone heard from Heidi? my sweety sent me an email a looooong time ago, and then i sent her a reply email, and then a letter, and then another email because i know she can't use a computer very often but writing letters sucks and they get lost and take a long time and i wanted to see how she was, but none of these have been replied to. and then, i turned on the news a few nights ago and the tagline, no joke, was "Portugal: On Fire" and there was film of 40-foot-high flames burning down some forest, and now i'm worried :-(
» hah! how to write in the damn thing!

Gwah! It worked! Ross is now officially... alive!
Yay for weekday gaming (except for the fact that I'll probably never get any work done :) Oh well) When is everyone coming back to (dum dum dum) school? I'm gonna be coming back on the 26th or 27th -ie, as soon as possible. Also: How the hell is everybody doing? Sorry for randomness- my friend from Kenya just left this morning (after 10 days) and we were up v. late. And now I'm at 'work'. Mage looks really awesome (was checking out the website). Hopefully the damn book will come out sometime. When is it supposed to be now? The 20- somethingth? *dies* Wheee! I'm so out of it!
» ah finally!
i figured out how to write with this freaking thing!!! so, this is just a test... i did figure out how to write, right? is it working?
» This may be premature...
I've been thinking that it might work better if we select a weekday evening and schedule that for regular play rather than a weekend. That would probably make us less likely to decide to go do something else on the game day instead of gaming. I expect we won't be able to pick the day until we're at school and have class and work schedules, but we can consider the general idea.

What do you think?
